Peas & Arugula

66F degrees out today. Beautiful day for working in the garden!

I planted peas in rows around the perimeter of the 'trellis' and arugula inside.

Lots of work still to do! Walk ways and beds to make. This is what makes winter worth struggling through!

Finally!

They came to harvest the corn! Happy day!

Oh April...

Most. Expensive. Month. Ever. My 7 year old black lab tore his ACL...$1200 for surgery. Gabe needs extensive work done on his back teeth...a combination of lack of floride in our water and just plain bad genes...$1000+. The flat screen tv we bought in August last year broke...thankfully that was still covered under the warranty and didn't cost me anything to repair. Then the water pump in the well broke. Sure, it was 23 years old, but still...not an expense you can really prepare for...$900. Joy. Tough month! I'll be glad when April is over! Let's just hope nothing else breaks down!

I have a ton of photo's to upload. Easter pics of the boys, my garden...I'm hoping to plant my peas on Friday (24th). I can't wait!

Spring Peeper

Just needed to make a note that the peepers were out last night. And it was glorious! What a sign of spring. Too bad the weather is still freezing.

Bonfire

Water patrol. Always good to have a hose when you're having a bon fire...even if it's not connected to the spickot.

My pyro.

He really didn't want his picture taken, but I insisted.
