I've had a lot going on the past two months. Finished and passed my Micro. class (yay!), fundraising projects for the PTC, Town "stuff", and my own personal life "stuff". I haven't even planted the majority of my veg. garden yet...ugh! Hoping to get to that today, possibly.
For some reason, I've always been scared to even pick up a zipper while doing crafts. But after today, I'm wondering what took me so long! Love these little bags!
I planted lettuce yesterday. Peas will go in *weather permitting* next weekend. There's a lot of work that is needed in the garden. More straw for the walkways (at least 3 bales), the swiss chard and carrot beds from the fall need to be turned over. Right now it feels like March out there. Stiff Northeast wind, rain...a good day to work inside. Laundry needs to be started (wishing I could line dry and do all the snow clothes today-will wait for another dry day to do that), finish a crochet baby blanket I started, clean the boys rooms...plenty to do.
I'm Miss Slacker these days. Well, not exactly. Just here in the blogosphere. Taking a class this semester: Microbiology which is serious fun, Gabe is still home, Eli is in school but with homework and projects galore, housework, my part-time job, and projects for friends and family. In the past week, I've made 3 rag quilts, one crocheted baby blanket and gearing up to make another rag quilt.
This one is a little bit different from the one above. It's made of 5" squares (8x8) whereas the one above is 8" squares (6x6). They're both the exact same size. The 8" square quilt sews together so much quicker, I'll probably just stick with those for awhile.
